Year Of The Horse Proof Coin
The Australian Perth Mint has released a Year of the Horse 1/2oz colored silver proof coin. The coins reverse design depicts a colored representation of a baby horse standing on its hind legs and dressed in a festive bridle and blanket. The Chinese character for the horse, the inscription Year of the Horse and The Perth Mints P mintmark is also incorporated into this new coin design. With no more than 7,500 of these Baby Horse silver proof coins will be released by The Perth Mint. Each coin will be housed in its own display case with a illustrated shipper, and each coin is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
This new unique reverse design is by Ing Ing Jong, and the observe of Queen Elizabeth II is by Raphael Maklouf.

The Perth Mints Year of the Horse/Baby Horse silver proof coin, portrays a colored image of a baby horse standing on its hind legs. Released in 2013 with no more than 7,500 of these silver proof coins to be minted.
