25th Anniversary Silver Maple Leaf
When the first Silver Maple Leaf bullion coin was issued in 1988 it became an instant hit with bullion collectors world wide, since its first release the silver maple leaf coins have been minted annually. In addition to the silver coins metal weight, purity and face value, the coin's reverse design has consistently featured the emblematic maple leaf. The focal point of this coin is a slightly off center maple leaf design, this highly polished element is set within a gold plated and recessed semi circle that merges, on the image’s left side, with a large shadow outline of the same maple leaf. The obverse feature the Arnold Machin’s effigy of Queen Elizabeth II as she appeared on the first Silver Maple Leafback in 1988. With a limited mintage of only 10,000 worldwide, and is encapsulated and presented in a Royal Canadian Mint branded maroon clamshell case lined with flock and protected by a black beauty box. These canadian silver coins are very difficult to come across for collectors due to the very low mintage of this silver proof coin.
