In 1998 the Royal Canadian Mint struck and issued the only 10 ounce version of the famous Silver Maple Leaf bullion coin, these silver canadian coins were minted to mark the 10th anniverary of the silver maple leafcoin. The 10 ounce maple had a $50 face value rather than the usual $5 value, making this bullion coin is the largest legal tendered of the canadian silver coins ever produced and is accompanied by a sterling silver plaque of authenticity.

Weighing in at 311.04 grams and with a diameter of 65mm and a thickness of 11mm, this canadian silver coin has some real weight and size when held in the hand. The coin has a lettered edge which reads (10th Anniversary 10e Anniversarie). A total of only 13,533 of these 10oz silver bullion coins where produced by the Canadian Mint, which makes these silver maple leaf coins very hard to come across.
